If there's one thing PFS players love, it is a PFS Boon. Now, we have two ways for you to earn them through interacting with the community.
The "Published in the Chronicles" Contest
To help people interact with each other more and give them a place to brag a bit, Mark Seifter -- VL of Boston-- has created the "Published in the Chronicles" contest. If you haven't checked them out already, we have a Chronicles section on BostonPFS.com where Pathfinder Society agents talk about interesting facts, strategies, or war stories. You can get your Pathfinder Society character published in the Chronicles and earn a boon for your effort! Just write up a story in-character of an impressive victory, a harrowing defeat, an interesting mission, or something that you think other Pathfinder Society agents should hear. It doesn't have to be perfect; you can edit it before it goes up as a published Chronicle entry. To enter visit the forums, and post in the Roleplay Section whenever you get the chance. If your entry is selected to be published, you will receive a random boon from our selection of rewards. The boons range from being able to take an extra trait, to proficiency with a weapon from a selected list, to unlocking special races!
When enough entries are received, everyone will be get to take a poll and vote for which one you think should be published. Of all the people that vote, one will be randomly selected to also win a free boon!
GM Participation Boons
To help draw prospective GMs out, we're going to put all non-Venture-Officer GMs that GM a fully reported session for an event advertised on the Gaming Calendar of BostonPFS.com into a hat the first week of the following month. We will then draw one name out of those GMs and that GM will receive a boon as a thanks for supporting Boston Lodge Pathfinder Society.
If you're interested in becoming a Pathfinder Society GM, I encourage you to talk to the coordinator at your local store about what it will take to get a session in. They may want to schedule a scenario that is up your alley. I'm planning on starting this for games GMed in November forward. We'll let you know the results!
Thanks to all the players, GMs, and event coordinators, for making Boston Lodge PFS what it is.
