Thank you to everyone who was a part of TotalCon! Players, GMs, organizers, and volunteers all came together to make this a fun event! A special thanks goes to Paizo staffers Mark Seifter and Linda Zayas-Palmer who came all the way from Seattle to be with us. Venture-Lieutenant Lisa Neilson worked very, very hard "behind the scenes" on convention planning. It looks like we ran 102 tables for 562 players across 12 slots.
Big, heartfelt thanks to Linda Zayas-Palmer who continues to be an active part of the Boston Lodge! She was the overseer GM for our multi-table special "Blood Under Absalom" a couple of days ago. As a token of our appreciation for her efforts on our behalf (and to Mark Seifter, too!) we sent her an Edible Arrangement. You rock, Linda!
We are very pleased to announce that we're adding yet another venue to our schedule! On Monday, August 8, we will offer PFS at Knight Moves Cafe (the other one) at 1159 Broadway in Somerville. It's a few minutes from Davis Sq on the Red Line.
We'll celebrate our first official game there with a CORE session of scenario #3-07: "Echoes of the Overwatched." As always, sign up on Warhorn. Looks like Paizo updated the "Additional Resources" page today!
http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/about/additionalResources Some new stuff: - Hell's Vengeance - Path of the Hellknight - Spymaster's Handbook - Advanced Player's Guide: As of March 30, 2016, the philter of love is no longer legal for play. - Advanced Race Guide: The shaitan binder archetype can be applied to an unchained summoner; however, the summoner must select elemental (earth) for his eidolon's subtype. - Ultimate Equipment: As of July 19, 2016, bracers of falcon's aim and quickrunner's shirt are legal for play. Download the latest! The Metro Boston Lodge is very pleased to announce that we've added another venue to our schedule. Starting on Tuesday, August 2, we will offer PFS at Knight Moves Cafe at 1402 Beacon Street in Brookline. It's right off of the C line (get out at the Summit Ave stop) or the 66 bus (get out at Coolidge Corner).
We'll celebrate our first official game at Knight Moves with "We B4 Goblins!" It's already on Warhorn, so sign up quick: https://warhorn.net/events/boston-pfs/schedule/2016/08/02/sessions/131992 They have a fee, and they offer a monthly membership for unlimited gaming. Pathfinders who have gamed there before report that it's a very nice venue. You can read more about Knight Moves Cafe at their website: http://knightmovescafe.com In light of a recent flooding problem at Compleat Strategist, we won't be able to schedule games there while they clean up the water damage. We hope to return to the store in August, 2016.
I'm working on a project to evaluate diversity in our player population in Metro Boston. To that end, it would be awesomely helpful to better understand gamer demographics and opinions. https://goo.gl/brgrJZ Thanks! R. Diaz Pathfinders,
As many of you know, I don't often use the PFS boons that I receive (as a player) from conventions. I have about a dozen or so boons that I plan to give away (roughly once or twice a week) at random venues in the Metro Boston region over the course of the next six to twelve weeks! The criteria for boon giveaways will be somewhat random and fun (and will change from week to week). Yesterday at Pandemonium, our winner was the first player to arrive at the venue. Congrats to Scott Gray; he received the "Xenophonic" boon that I got from PaizoCon 2015. I think the next boon will go to the first player to find me at a venue. That player must wear a Pathfinder Society shirt AND use a Player Character Folio for the game. Explore, Report, Cooperate! R. Diaz |
