Natani: A redheaded, green-eyed halfling woman just shy of three feet tall, dressed in a fine silk gown and an emerald encrusted tiara.
Good morning! I am Pasha Natani Copperlock. I have found great success as a Pathfinder, entirely because of my own skill. One of the skills that has proven most valuable in my career is the ability to spot someone who will give you stuff for very little effort of your own. All the better if they have an organization behind them to guarantee their promises.
The most influential organizations within the Society tend to get called factions. Now it is easier than ever to get benefits from a faction. Used to be, you needed to collect some object that the faction's leader wanted that was conveniently in your path. Nowadays, you don't even have to do that much. They give you benefits anyway. You can get even more from them if you do something to further the faction's goal at just the right time. I'll tell you about my own faction, and later maybe I'll tell you about the other factions, which aren't as useful.
As you may have guessed from my title, I work with Qadira.
Qadira Faction
Faction's Leader: Aaqir al'Hakam of House Damaq
Qadira is the dominant force in trade in the Inner Sea. If you are interested in trade, want to grow your own wealth, or perhaps happen to be Qadiran, you probably should join up with the Qadiran faction. What can Qadira do for you? Shortly after you start out, you can become an official appraiser of merchandise. Once you've been with the Qadirans for a while, you can improve your ability to make money between missions using your trade connections. After about a dozen missions, You can get a substantial discount on an item of your choice for every mission you do for the Society, and you can become a trade price or trade princess of Qadira. Finally, if you really work well with Qadira, you might just become a Pasha someday. If you want a chance at gaining even more benefits, try to establish trade agreements with any merchant interests you come across.
All of the benefits below come from the Pathfinder Society Field Guide.
Validated Appraiser (5 PP): You may use Appraise for Day Job checks.
Expert Entrepreneur (Fame 10, 5 PP): Whenever you make a Day Job check, you may reroll any result of 10 or less, taking the second roll, even if it is lower.
Master of Trade (Fame 20, 4 PP): Once per game session, you may make a single purchase you could normally make at a 10% discount.
Trade Prince (Fame 20, 1 PP): You gain the honorific title of "trade prince" or "trade princess" and become specialized in Appraise.
Pasha (Fame 40, 2 PP): You have earned the title of "pasha", which you may add as an honorific before your name. You gain a +3 bonus on Intimidate checks made against humans of the Keleshite ethnicity and natives of Qadira.
The Factions may be the most influential organizations you can join within the Society, but I'm sure you know the Society isn't everything. Most every Pathfinder has a life outside of missions, and I feel bad for those who don't. There are plenty of other organizations you can join up with, leveraging your connections within the Society for an in. Some of them let you make money outside of the standard options of crafting, performing, and having a profession.
